FAQ
FAQ
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Yes! Dr. Kendra has completed advanced training to serve the soon-to-be expecting and currently expecting community. Chiropractic care during pregnancy often results in shorter labor times, improved comfort, easier pregnancies, less interventions, and optimized mobility to encourage babies to get into the best position for delivery.
Can my children be adjusted?
Absolutely – and we strongly encourage it! Setting a child on the path of wellness from the beginning allows for the perfect prevention steps for growing healthy adults. Many parents seek chiropractic care for overall body support, wellness, traumatic birth recoveries, and other underlying health concerns. Chiropractic is designed to nurture the nervous system so the body can thrive, grow, and adapt to the next season of life!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we do accept most major insurance companies in the region; however, we always want to ensure that patients know their benefits at the earliest stages of care to reduce any chances of surprises. Insurance coverage for chiropractic care is only eligible during ACUTE or ACTIVE care, not wellness/maintenance/non-acute conditions. We will always work with you and provide self-pay options that benefit you as a practice member rather than letting insurance coverage dictate the care you receive. The following link provides an in-depth explanation as to what qualifies you to use insurance vs. what is not covered by insurance.
What is the Webster Technique?
The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction. In doing so neuro-biomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region is improved.
Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.
Chiropractic care in pregnancy is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and birth. More women and birth providers are discovering the many benefits associated with chiropractic care in pregnancy and recognize this area of expertise through Webster Certification.
